Playing catch up again. The prompt over at Poetic Asides is “Everyone _____”. We are to fill in the blank and use that as the title of the poem.
Everyone Forgets
By: Meena Rose
Roads traveled, bridges crossed;
Signs and landmarks record the journey.
A toll road, not a freeway;
Two for the price of one.
Is it aimless? Is it guided?
Or wildly wondrous?
Life viewed through eyes of another;
Suddenly the landscape is a different affair.
Forgetting, remembering, rediscovering, living;
Everyone forgets minutiae while experience imprints forever.
